Symposium
Schedule
Friday, October 11. The registration
and continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, October 11. The
Symposium itself will begin at 8:45 a.m. After the final session, which will
end at about 5:30 p.m., there will be a reception (sponsored by University
of Michigan Press) and a dinner (included in the registration) in the Purdue
Memorial Union.
Saturday, October 12. Continental
breakfast will be served from 8 a.m., and sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The Symposium concludes at about 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, October 13.
Contrastive
Rhetoric Roundtable, a free event sponsored by
the Indiana Center
for Intercultural Communication, will take place between 9 a.m. and
1 p.m. on Sunday, October 13.
Accommodations
Rooms will be available from
Thursday through Sunday night at 1)
the Union Club Hotel in the Purdue Memorial Union, adjacent to Stewart
Center, or 2) the University Inn. The Union Club Hotel will
start accepting reservations on April 1, 2002. Please mention this symposium when
making your reservation to receive a special conference rate. For more

Getting to Purdue
From
Purdue University Airport
(LAF), the
CityBus is available by
calling 742-7433. The Union Club Hotel provides complimentary shuttle
service to Purdue University Airport. (Purdue University Airport is
also known as Lafayette Airport, but please be sure to book your
ticket to Lafayette, Indiana--NOT Louisiana!)
From
Indianapolis International Airport (IND),
Lafayette Limo
provides transportation to the Union Club Hotel every two hours, nine
times a day.
If you are driving,
directions are available from
Purdue University Visitor Information Center.
Parking
Parking is available in
the Grant Street Parking Garage, which is across the street from the
Purdue Memorial Union. The daily fee is $5. Parking is free to Union
Club Hotel guests. Please have your garage ticket validated at the
Union Club desk prior to leaving the garage.
